Company profile
Combining tradition with modernity
We are a company of the Major Chemical Synthesis sector. We combine over 80 years of tradition with modernity. We possess unique competences in the domain of construction plastics (polyamides, polyoxymethylene, compounds), caprolactam and mineral fertilizers. We refine technologies, improve quality of products, and offer many various chemical products, renowned on both domestic and international markets. About 60% of the production is exported, more than 80% of which is destined for the EU markets. We have also been successfully exporting technological know-how for over two decades. Our company is the sole Polish producer of polyacetals (POM) under the registered trademark of Tarnoform®.
Azoty Tarnów is an important producer of polyamide 6 (trade name Tarnamid®) in the region.
The company has its own R&D units which include Caprolactam Centre Development Laboratory and Plastics Centre Laboratory. Their activities are concentrated on the development of both the existing products and the new goods as well as technologies. The R&D units allow us to introduce new grades of products and to cooperate closely with our consignees.
Aiming at achieving satisfying economic results we minimize impact on environment and refine management systems. Health and safety of our employees as well as protection of the company’s surroundings are our major concern. We implement "Responsible Care” international programme and participate in the SPOT system. We have been granted "Environmentally Friendly Company " and "Ecology leader" awards by the external bodies. We hold ISO 14001 and ISO 9001:2008 certificates issued by DNV Polska.
We are a socially responsible company – the biggest employer in the region, creator and patron of cultural, sport and scientific events. Together with ten subsidiaries we form a Capital Group with huge potential both in production and services. We are open for building durable alliances with big sector partners and cooperating with SMEs.
